Rare U.S. Coins & Colonial Currency Auction


The Magnusson Group is proud to offer two fresh-to-market collections! One large collection consisting of 142 Colonial Connecticut paper notes passed down through one family for multiple generations!  Another collection featuring rare U.S. type coins in mint state condition including: $1, $2.5, $3, $5, $10 and $20 gold coins along with a full Morgan silver dollar date set and important varieties in mostly gem condition certified by PCGS, NGC and ICG grading.

COLLECTING PROPERTY AFTER SUCCESSFUL BID

Pick up will be in Morristown, NJ from June 14-16 and 19-23, 2023 9:30am-3pm EST only.

Please do not bid if you or an authorized third-party/shipper are unable to collect the items during that time. Lots left unclaimed after June 24, 2023 will incur a fee of $5 per day/per lot for storage. Lots left unclaimed 30 days (July 7, 2023) of the auction closing will be considered abandoned at the buyers expense, relocated and disposed of. No refunds will be given for unclaimed lots.

CONDITION REPORT

Condition reports should be viewed only as the opinion of the Specialist and not matters of fact. The Magnusson Group strongly suggests you review/request a condition report on each item you intend to place a bid on, and that you use the previews available to inspect the items yourself prior to bidding. Email Admin@TheMagnussonGroup.com to request a condition report no later that 48 hours before the auction closes.

PAYMENT IN FULL

Please note that The Magnusson Group must receive full payment, with funds cleared (2-4 business days after payment) prior to any property being collected by the winning bidder or their authorized third-party/shipper.

IN-HOUSE SHIPPING

The Magnusson Group will offer in-house shipping of items that can safely fit in USPS flat rate priority mail boxes at COST using USPS Priority Mail services to *US ONLY*. An additional flat fee of $10 will be applied for materials, packing and handling to EACH bidders shipping invoice. Insured shipping at buyers REQUEST and EXPENSE, will be calculated prior to shipment. All shipping invoices are sent via email with our third party payment processing app Square and must be paid within a week of the auction closing (June 14, 2023). All shipping invoices must be paid in full before orders get shipped out. USPS flat rate costs are as follows: Small Flat Rate Box- $10.20, Medium Flat Rate Box- $17.10, Large Flat Rate Box- $22.80

PHOTO IDENTIFICATION

If you are collecting property in-person, please be prepared to provide photo identification.

If you are authorizing a third-party shipper to collect on your behalf, this authorization must be provided in writing in advance and from the email account associated with the winning bid. With respect to authorized third parties, their name must be provided. For authorized shippers, the name of the company must be provided.

If a third-party shipper is collecting on your behalf, we recommend that you be available via phone or email during the collection window if any issues arise.

RECOMMENDED SHIPPERS

If you are unable to collect your property from the auction you will need to coordinate shipping. Please contact us.
